Requirements
- Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. If you are not sure you are eligible for military membership, please contact a National Guard recruiter prior to applying for this position. Military Rank: Enlisted Compatible Military Assignments: MOS: 36B, 42A, 51C, 92A, 92Y, 92Z Military membership in the Utah National Guard is required. Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Pending analysis, you may be required to complete a new 1-year probationary period when moved to this position IAW CNGBI 1400.25. Must possess a valid state driver's license to operate government motor vehicles. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Medical screening will be completed upon selection for hire. Soldiers who accept a technician position may be terminated from the Bonus and Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP). Potential for Incentive Pay. May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments. Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise. The incumbent must meet the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position. The incumbent must meet the continuing acquisition education requirements IAW DoDI 5000.66 paragraph E2.2.8. In accordance with the Ethics in Government Act, 1978, incumbent is required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually. The incumbent must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
