Venture Subscription / Cancellation Terms
These terms describe BCM's current Venture subscription, billing, renewal, cancellation, and entitlement architecture. Venture Plus is configured as a Venture-scoped monthly subscription with a LIVE Stripe launch mapping, subject to Venture feature controls and checkout availability.
Last updated: September 30, 2026Venture-scoped subscriptions and entitlements
Venture Plus is structured as a Venture-scoped subscription product. Purchases, billing-subscription records, and resulting entitlements are tied to the specific Venture identified in the checkout and Stripe metadata.
- A Venture Plus purchase must target one Venture and may not simultaneously target an Employer, Job, or Career Hub.
- Venture Plus entitlements are granted only to the exact Venture associated with the qualifying purchase/subscription record.
- Purchasing or holding Venture Plus for one Venture does not grant benefits to another Venture.
- Venture Plus benefits are entitlement-based and are subject to the product description and entitlement rules in effect when sales are enabled.
Authorization and target validation
The current Venture Plus checkout foundation requires the purchasing user to be an active owner of the targeted Venture and requires the Venture to exist and not be archived.
- BCM validates the Venture target before checkout and again when processing subscription/payment records where applicable.
- Stripe checkout metadata includes the BCM purchase, product, user, and Venture identifiers used to reconcile the payment to the correct BCM records.
- A Venture-target mismatch between the purchase and resulting subscription is treated as an error rather than granting benefits to a different Venture.
- The current checkout prevents a second active or recoverable Venture Plus subscription for the same Venture/product while an existing subscription is active, past due, or in its grace period.
- Subscription access does not create Venture ownership independently of BCM's Venture ownership authorization rules.
Initial payment and entitlement activation
BCM activates Venture Plus entitlements only after the associated purchase is successfully paid or otherwise validly activated through supported BCM billing logic.
- A failed initial payment or non-fulfillable initial subscription does not activate Venture Plus entitlements.
- Successful subscription checkout creates or reconciles the Venture-scoped billing subscription and activates the corresponding Venture-scoped entitlement set for the applicable subscription period.
- Entitlement activation is processed idempotently so repeated Stripe delivery does not intentionally create duplicate entitlement sets.
Renewals
For subscription products, Stripe may generate recurring invoices for subsequent subscription periods. When BCM receives a successful recurring-payment event, the internal subscription is returned to active status and Venture-scoped entitlements are extended through the current Stripe subscription period.
- Successful recurring invoices may create corresponding BCM purchase-history records for reconciliation.
- Renewal access remains tied to the same Venture-scoped subscription record and does not transfer benefits to another Venture.
- BCM does not promise renewal beyond successful payment and the continued eligibility and availability of the applicable product.
Failed recurring payments and grace period
When BCM receives a recurring invoice-payment failure for an existing subscription, the current billing system moves that subscription into a grace-period state rather than immediately deactivating its entitlements.
- During the configured grace period, associated entitlements remain active until the recorded grace expiration unless payment succeeds or the subscription state changes sooner.
- If payment subsequently succeeds, the subscription returns to active status, the grace state is cleared, and entitlements are extended through the current subscription period.
- If the grace period expires without recovery, BCM's reconciliation process marks the subscription expired and deactivates its associated entitlements.
- The current configured grace period is a system setting and is not a promise that any particular grace duration will remain available in the future.
Cancellation and reactivation
The current BCM cancellation action schedules a Stripe-connected subscription to cancel at the end of its current billing period rather than immediately terminating it.
- Scheduling cancellation sets the subscription to cancel at period end. While Stripe continues to report the subscription as active, its entitlements remain subject to the current subscription period.
- Where supported before cancellation takes effect, BCM can remove the scheduled period-end cancellation and reactivate automatic renewal.
- When Stripe reports the subscription as canceled, BCM marks the internal subscription canceled and deactivates its associated entitlements.
- Cancellation stops future Venture Plus access according to the actual Stripe subscription and BCM entitlement lifecycle; it does not create a transferable or perpetual entitlement.
TEST and LIVE separation
Venture Plus has separate TEST and LIVE payment controls. The active production catalog amount is $4.99 USD per month with a mapped LIVE Stripe Product and Price.
- The prior temporary $1 TEST amount is retired from the active catalog and is not production pricing.
- The separate Venture Plus TEST checkout setting remains independently controlled and does not determine LIVE availability.
- LIVE checkout remains subject to BCM's Venture service controls, payment/checkout controls, active-owner authorization, and mapped LIVE Stripe configuration.
Pricing, benefits and refunds
The current Venture Plus launch price is $4.99 USD per month for Enhanced marker presentation on the subscribed Venture.
- The launch offer does not include unfinished richer-media, deeper-analytics, or additional-link/tool entitlements.
- These terms do not promise benefits beyond the entitlement/product description actually offered at checkout.
- Refunds, credits, and payment adjustments remain governed by BCM's existing payment/refund rules and the transaction-specific terms shown at purchase; these Venture terms do not create additional refund promises.
Relationship to other BCM terms
These terms address Venture subscription, renewal, cancellation, payment-state, and entitlement handling. The Venture Paid Placement Disclosure governs the distinction between earned organic presence and paid enhancement. General Venture rules, ownership rules, and BCM's existing general payment terms continue to apply.
