This position is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician position requiring Texas Air National Guard membership located in Fort Worth, TX. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a senior information technology (IT) and communications specialist and consultant to management in support of installation IT and communications policy and plans. Texas is one of 9 states with NO state income tax.
Requirements
- Appointment Factor(s): This is an Excepted Service position that requires active membership in a compatible military assignment in the Texas Air National Guard and wear of the military uniform. Applicants who are not currently a member of the Texas Air National Guard do not meet eligibility for this position. Areas of Consideration: In-State. This includes: All currently employed full-time permanent, indefinite and temporary personnel of the Texas Air National Guard, and All current members of the Texas Air National Guard. Incentives: Acceptance of a military Federal technician position may result in termination and / or repayment of military incentives. Please check your contract and contact your servicing Education Services (Incentives) office or the Recruiting/Retention office. Remarks: This position conducts Information Assurance functions. The incumbent shall comply with the requirements of the certification program and will be required to obtain certification. Certification requirements are outlined in DOD Instruction 8570.01-M. Must be certified IAW DOD 8570.01-M, Federal Information Security Management Act of 2002, Clinger Cohen Act of 1996 and current AF directives. Minimum requirements are specified in the most recent 8570 PD template on the A3CC Page of the GKO Portal at https://gkoportal.ng.mil/ang/A3/A3C/A3CC/Cyber%20Ops%20Templates/Forms/AllItems.aspx. Trial period required (see additional information) Military Requirements: For Dual-Status Technician positions service affiliation under Title 32 USC 709 is required. Military skill set is determined by AFSC/MOS requirements. Upon selection, individuals must be assigned to a compatible military AFSC/MOS per statutes and National Guard Bureau regulations and must obtain/maintain all requirements of the AFSC/MOS. AFSC:1D7X1, A/B/F/R Rank Spread: E-1/AB not to exceed E-6/TSgt Other Requirements: For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed. For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
