• Appointment Factor(s): This is an Excepted Service position that requires active membership in a compatible military assignment in the Texas Air National Guard and wear of the military uniform. Areas of Consideration: Nationwide. This includes: All currently employed full-time permanent, indefinite and temporary personnel of the Texas Air National Guard, All current members of the Texas National Guard and individuals eligible for membership in the Texas Air National Guard. All individuals eligible for membership in the Texas Air National Guard. Incentives: Acceptance of a military Federal technician position may result in termination and / or repayment of military incentives. Please check your contract and contact your servicing Education Services (Incentives) office or the Recruiting/Retention office. Remarks: Position is subject to rotating shifts. Trial period required (see additional information) This is an indefinite excepted position; acceptance of an excepted position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Indefinite appointments are used when there is a need for a temporary position to extend beyond one year or management expects the position to become permanent at some time in the future. Competitive procedures must be used when filling a position on an indefinite basis. Military Requirements: For Dual-Status Technician positions service affiliation under Title 32 USC 709 is required. Military skill set is determined by AFSC/MOS requirements. Upon selection, individuals must be assigned to a compatible military AFSC/MOS per statutes and National Guard Bureau regulations and must obtain/maintain all requirements of the AFSC/MOS. AFSC: 2W1X1 Military Grades: E-3/A1C not to exceed E-7/MSgt Other Requirements: For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed. For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret), the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
