This job opportunity is for an AIRCRAFT MECHANIC, position description D0483000, within the AASF of the New Jersey National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position. The primary purpose of the position is responsibility for the peformance of the full range of aircraft maintenance duties for one or more types of military aircraft, fixed and rotary wing.
Requirements
- Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. If you are not sure you are eligible for military membership, please contact a National Guard recruiter prior to applying for this position. Areas of Consideration: Individuals eligible for membership in the New Jersey National Guard CAT 3, All New Jersey National Guard members of NJ ARMY NG Military Grades: E-3 to E-8 Security Clearance Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance within 1(One) Year of appointment. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory May be required to successfully complete a probationary period Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service Pre-Placement Physical Requirement: A pre-placement physical will be required for anyone selected for this position. Placement into the position will not be made until results are received.
