Want to help shape national and global policy on finance and national security? Interested in learning more about a career in public service? Come intern with us at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Treasury's Departmental Offices (headquarters) seeks enthusiastic, dedicated students for its dynamic and substantive internship program. ALL STUDENTS MUST BE ABLE TO INTERN STARTING January 2027 for a minimum of 20 Hours a week.
Requirements
- CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Internship is available in PERSON only. Maintain student status throughout internship. (Be actively enrolled or accepted at an accredited institution) Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, and if you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, to certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so. Successfully complete a background investigation within the requested timeframe. Students must be able to intern for 10 consecutive weeks as per listed in the vacancy. Students must be able to work from 08:00 am to 5:00 pm, either in a Part time (20 Hrs.) or Full Time Schedule (40 Hrs). KEY REQUIREMENTS Must be a U.S. Citizen Must pass Background Investigation/Security Clearance Actively enrolled at least part-time in a Department of Education accredited institution. Must be in good academic standing (2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale) If selected to work in DC, RELOCATION AND HOUSING EXPENSES ARE PAID BY STUDENT Must be able to work 20+ hours a week. Must be able to intern for 10+ straight weeks.
