POSITION PURPOSE: The Head of Digital Marketing & Marketing Analytics is a senior, strategic leader responsible for driving next generation digital marketing capabilities that directly support organizational growth and fundraising outcomes. This role owns the strategy, execution, and measurement of digital marketing across platforms, ensuring that marketing investments translate into meaningful, measurable results. With deep expertise across B2B and multi-channel digital ecosystems, this leader will modernize and optimize the marketing technology stack, harness advanced analytics, and champion the responsible, leading-edge use of AI in marketing. As a trusted partner to senior leadership, Sales, and IT, the role influences decision-making at the highest levels and builds a culture of data-driven innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning. This position is ideal for a leader who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, brings energy and curiosity to their work, and is passionate about marketing that makes a real impact—connecting strategy, technology, and creativity to drive demand, strengthen lead management, and advance the organization’s fundraising mission.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end digital marketing strategy across platforms, channels, and audiences, including complex B2B environments.
  • Align digital marketing priorities with organizational goals, growth initiatives, and fundraising objectives.
  • Provide hands-on leadership and strategic direction to the digital marketing team, fostering a collaborative, curious, and high-performance culture.
  • Bring a forward-looking, external perspective that positions marketing as a strategic growth engine for the organization.
  • Assess the current marketing technology stack and ecosystem, identifying strengths, gaps, and opportunities to improve effectiveness and scalability.
  • Develop and articulate a future-state vision and roadmap for marketing technology, including platform selection, integration, and investment recommendations.
  • Partner closely with IT to ensure marketing platforms, data architecture, security, and systems support the organization’s evolving needs.
  • Champion the responsible adoption of AI-driven marketing tools and techniques that improve efficiency, personalization, and measurable results.
  • Own marketing analytics, reporting, and performance management frameworks that connect activity to business and fundraising outcomes.
  • Establish clear KPIs, dashboards, and insights that demonstrate Marketing’s contribution to lead generation, pipeline performance, and ROI.
  • Use data, attribution modeling, experimentation, and test-and-learn practices to continuously refine strategy, execution, and resource allocation.
  • Build and oversee the end-to-end digital user experience to support engagement, conversion, and lead generation.
  • Partner closely with Sales to drive high-quality lead generation and support end-to-end lead management efforts.
  • Ensure strong alignment between Marketing and Sales on strategy, data, reporting, performance metrics, and shared accountability for results.
  • Implement and optimize SEO, SEM, and other digital acquisition practices that strengthen funnel performance.
  • Influence senior leaders through clear insights, compelling storytelling, and evidence-based recommendations.
  • Build strong business cases for marketing and technology investments, clearly articulating expected ROI, organizational impact, and resource requirements.
  • Balance innovation and fiscal discipline, ensuring resources are aligned to the highest-value opportunities.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships that enable speed, consistency, innovation, and confident decision-making.

Requirements

  • · Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, or a related field required; advanced degree (MBA or similar) preferred. · 15+ years of progressive experience in digital marketing/marketing technology across multiple platforms and channels, including significant experience in B2B environments. · Demonstrated leadership experience, including people management and the ability to mentor and develop talent. · Deep understanding of modern marketing technology stacks, including hands-on experience evaluating, implementing, and optimizing platforms. · Strong expertise in marketing analytics, performance measurement, and ROI modeling; proven ability to connect marketing activity to tangible business and fundraising outcomes. · Practical, forward-thinking passion and experience applying AI and advanced technologies in marketing. · Proven success partnering closely with Sales and IT to deliver integrated, results-driven solutions. · Exceptional communication and influence skills, with a track record of engaging and advising senior-level stakeholders. · Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating in evolving, fast-paced environments. · Passion for marketing that makes a meaningful contribution to organizational impact and mission.
