Position Overview: The Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician is a working lead responsible for maintaining the facility, building systems, and manufacturing infrastructure to support safe and reliable production. This position spends the majority of time performing hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. The Lead serves as the technical expert for facility systems and helps prioritize maintenance activities to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing or industrial facilities and is highly skilled in HVAC/R, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and industrial utility systems. This is not a facilities management role —it is a hands-on technical position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical trade school or apprenticeship preferred.
  • EPA Universal license required
  • 5+ years of hands-on facilities maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is required.
  • Residential, apartment, hotel, retail, and commercial property maintenance experience alone does not meet the requirements for this position.
  • EPA Universal Certification is required.
  • Experience maintaining industrial HVAC/R equipment.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical systems, mechanical equipment, plumbing, and facility utility systems.
  • Previous experience serving as a Lead Maintenance Technician or mentoring other technicians preferred.
  • Experience with CMMS software preferred.
  • Forklift and aerial lift certification preferred or ability to obtain.
