About the role
This position is with the 147th Attack Wing located on Ellington Field JRB in Houston, TX. The primary purpose of this position is to manage fuel on behalf of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) which consists of operations and maintenance of a fuel distribution system that includes a Type III Hydrant fuel system (at Air Refueling Wings). Texas is one of 9 states with NO state income tax.
Requirements
- Appointment Factor(s): This is an Excepted Service position that requires active membership in a compatible military assignment in the Texas Air National Guard and wear of the military uniform. Texas Air National Guard membership required. Area of Consideration: Excepted. This includes: All currently employed Texas Military Department full-time permanent, indefinite and temporary personnel of the Texas National Guard, and All current members of the Texas National Guard. Remarks: Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. Trial period required (see remarks) This is a Bargaining Unit position. The Texas National Guard is an Equal Opportunity employer. Veterans' preference is not applicable to this position. Direct deposit is mandatory. Military Requirements For Dual-Status Technician positions service affiliation under Title 32 USC 709 is required. Military skill set is determined by AFSC/MOS requirements. Upon selection, individuals must be assigned to a compatible military AFSC/MOS in accordance with statutes and National Guard Bureau regulations and must obtain/maintain all requirements of the AFSC/MOS Rank Spread: E-3/A1C not to exceed E-6/TSgt If rank is TSgt not to exceed 12 years of service AFSC: 2F031 Trainees accepted
